Integrity – “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill Home Health Overview A home health agency has the primary function of delivering health care services to people in their place of residence. Home care is one of the fastest growing industries in the nation, and the trend is expected to continue. One reason for the growth is that home care provides many advantages, some of which include: Patients/clients can be with loved ones. Studies have shown that being at home can actually speed up the healing process. Individuals can enjoy more independence and freedom in their own environment. Prevention or postponement of institutionalization for most patients/clients. Health care can be more cost effective (less expensive) in the home. Patients/clients are less likely to get infections in the home than in the hospital.
